New Sun Hat

Here are two photos of Kinley in her stroller out for a Sunday afternoon walk. We had to buy her a new hat to wear, because about 2 weeks ago we were at a work party that was outside and the 3 of us got some sun. I was the one that got it the worst. Natalie doesn't really ever get sunburn, and Kinley was in her stroller or covered up most of the time. But Kinley did get a little sunburn on the back of her head, wear she has a big bald spot from rubbing her head while she sleeps. So the very next day Natalie and Kinley went shopping to get a new hat and some SPF 50 baby sunscreen.

Today it probably around 65-70 degrees so we went for about an hour walk, and Kinley didn't make a sound. She loves it when she is moving and being able to look at people, cars, colorful flowers, basically anything. Now that the weather is getting nice Natalie will be able to take Kinley for a walk everyday. We just think that she looks so cute in her new sun hat.

Today Kinley was wanting to walk around the house, so I decided to put her on my shoulders and she if she liked it. Well she loved it. I think that she liked being up so high. When I stood in front of the mirror with her on my shoulders she started smiling and moving her arms. Then she grabbed 2 first fulls of my hair and started to pull. Babies that are almost five months old are stronger than I thought. After I got her to let go of my hair, she must have thought, "if I can't pull on it, I might as well see how it tastes." So Kinley started to open her mouth really wide and began to try and and eat my hair that was filled with gel, but we stopped her in time. We got thinking after about what type of face she would have made tasting hair gel and think that it would have made for a very funny photo.

Big Smiles

Kinley is a very happy baby, she loves to smile. It's just very hard to time a photo perfectly. By the time that photo is taken she is ending her smile. I think that we just need to start taking photos before she starts smiling and then we will catch her smiling ear to ear. But this is a good smile photo.

Kinley and Her Dress of Many Colors

This is Kinley and one of her new dresses. We bought her a few new dresses, but it hasn't been warm enough to just put her in the dresses. We've had to put long sleeve shirts on her to keep her warm. It's very colorful, and that is why Natalie likes it so much. Because she can put any color head band and bracelet on her (women love accesories).

She getting really strong and at that point where she doesn't like to lay flat. It think that she associates laying flat with going to sleep. For the past week we have been letting Kinley cry herself to sleep. Of course we are making sure that she is good and tired before we wrap her up and put her down for her naps. It was pretty rough the first couple of times, but she did a lot better than we thought she would. She usually whines for about 5-10 minutes before she falls asleep, but that is the hardest 5-10 minutes for Natalie. But it has allowed Natalie to get more done during Kinley's naps.

Well I know Kinley is way more interesting than Ryan and me, but I just thought I would give an update on us. Ryan and I were released from our callings at church and Ryan is now the Ward Sports Coordinator. I think it fits him well. Ryan has also been doing really well at work. Last week he was told he was going to get an office, finally. Yeah, it is a great move from his cubical and he is really excited. I am also back at work. I am only working around one hour a day Monday through Thursday. It has only been one week, but so far so good. We love being parents and watching our cute little baby grow each and every day. We know we are so blessed.

4 months old

Here is Kinley's 4 month picture. She is our little lady with her legs crossed.
Even in her ultrasound pictures her legs were crossed.

She looks so innocent doesn't she. :)

I just think these 2 pictures are just cute and show
off her many faces she pulls.

Kinley found her feet!

After Kinley ate this morning she reached over and foung two
new toys. Her cute little feet were so interesting to her. We love watching her
grow and discover new things. Of course as soon as she realized she could
grab them they went right for her mouth. :)

This is the very curious look she always gives us.

Kinley vs. rice cereal 1st attempt

Kinely's doctor told us we could start rice cereal today. It was a very exciting new adventure. The first spoon full she gave us the cutest face, as you can see. She did not know what to think about it. She did so much better than we thought she would. We have been giving her the cereal everday for the last week and she is opening her mouth and swallowing it like she has been eating it forever.
