Kinley's first broken bone :(

Well it has happened. Kinley has officially broken her first bone. I am so devestated. If any of you are having a bad day don't worry I will make you feel like the best Mom in the world compared to this story. Don't get me wrong I knew that with having children usually comes some injuries along the way I just never expected this to be so heart wrenching. So the other day I put Kinley on our counter in the bathroom so I could cut her hair. Her hair is so brittle and it just falls out ( due to her very POOR eating habits) and I was sick of the mullet. Well i had just got done cutting her hair and turned around for one second to throw it away and there she went falling head first onto our tile floor. I was FREAKING out. I was crying and I was totally scared to death. All my training as a nurse totally went out the window when it was my baby who was hurt. I called the doctors and they told me that I should just watch her. She didn't even have a red mark on her head at all. The only thing I noticed was she was slightly holding her right arm, but it looked normal and she was moving it and using it just fine. For the next 2 1/2 hours I just layed there in bed watching her every move and breath. ( she fell asleep after I held her for awhile) Well after her long nap she woke up and acted like nothing had happened. So I thought that was close I learned my lesson and thought it was the end of it. The next day we were coming in our house after shopping and Kinley decided that for whatever reason she wanted to play with the rake in the garage. So I told her to put it back that it was Daddys' toy and she could get hurt. Well she threw it down and then of course tripped on it. When she got up she was crying and holding her arm. Now I should have known then that something was wrong but then she just got up and ran off playing again. She never compalined once until 1 1/2 weeks later and Ryan went to put her coat on last Friday night and she starting to really cry when he touched her arm. She wouldn't move it or anything so we immediately took her to the instacare and sure enough it was broken. Ask me how awefull I felt realizing her arm had been broken for 1 1/2 weeks and I didn't even know it. The doctor was nice, but also try to explain how she fell twice in two days and it was over a week ago before I brought her in. I felt so bad!!!! She is one tuff girly. We even had family staying with us and we were all so shocked that she didn't even show any signs at all previously that it was bothering her. They splinted it that night and told us to get it casted next week. This poor girl had been to the doctors every other day that week for her eating problem, swine flu shot, and now a broken arm. Sorry for the long story but it was a very traumatic event for us. We of course took her to get french fries afterwards and in the above picture she was saying to me " It hurts". I know it totally breaks your heart doesn't it!!!!

Here she is with her new PINK cast. She even picked the color herself. I wonder why???

Here she is with her little sling that I made her. I felt so bad watching her try to hold up her arm. It was really weighing her down, so I made her this sling with some extra fabric I had. She LOVES it.

This is just a cute picture of before the broken arm. She had found a new place for her new sneakers. She is so creative. I love how if little ones see a hole they will for sure try to shove something in it. ( If you can't see she has her shoe laces in the little holes on the stroller handles.)

More Halloween fun

I know its not the best pic but its the only one I have of all of us. We borrowed costumes from so friends at the last minute in order to go to a party.

I don't know about you but I think she is the cutest kitty I have ever seen. She absolutely loves her costume. Ryan wanted her to be a giraffe, but as soon as she saw this costume she would not put it down. She is so cute when it is on she meows like a kitty and she tries to paw at you like a kitty. She had to hold it the whole way home from the store and then we had to hide it until Halloween came.

Here she is pawing at you!

This is on Sunday after Halloween. She had so much fun trick or treating the night before. She caught on quickly that if she just looked cute and walked up to someone with her elmo bucket they would give her candy. She loves candy and it is about the only thing she will eat these days, so she was in heaven!!! The next day when we left to go to church she would not leave the house unless we brought the elmo bucket and her baby. :) We thought why fight it. So here she is two minutes into the car ride, sleeping from trick or treating so hard, and still holding onto elmo. I think she just thought that if she brought elmo she would get more candy or something. It's a good thing Ryan hid the Kitty costume or she would have worn that to church as well! :) I love my little girl!!!

Halloween 2009

Well if you know our daughter this would seem totally natural for her. Unlike most kids she does not like to get dirty or touch anything slimmy in the least. I guess I should have known that she would not like to clean out the pumpkins but I was just hopeing maybe she would be able to conquer her fear. Oh well maybe next year :)

This was the final product. We had just seen the Micheal Jackson movie the night before and Ryan was inspired. Can you tell it is Micheal from "Thriller" ? I think he did a pretty good job! I did a kitty in honor of out own little black Kitty we had at our house.

This is as close as she would get to them!

I promise she really did LOVE Halloween. This is Kinley and her great friend Xander. They look so cute together but not so thrilled.

More fun at the farm

We thought Kinley would love to ride the horsey, but she was not to thrilled. She loves to see them when we are driving past them on the road but I guess she prefers that they keep their distance. She wined the whole ride and was scared to death. It was hilarious!

I would have been scared to if I was her. She almost lost a finger trying to feed them their food :)

We had to take her down the slide twice because she had so much fun going down it. Check of the tense arms and huge smile on her face.

Also a new love of hers is driving the car. Any car. She thinks she is big!

Fun with Grandma Jackie and Jaji

Ryan's parents came to visit us from P.A. last week and we had so much fun!!! It was great to see Kinley have so much fun with her Grandparents. She has not gotten to see them much in her short life but that did not matter to her at all this week. She was so excited to see them and she knew exactly who they were. They took her to the park most days, read her books, and did ALOT of shopping for her! We were very spoiled! It was so nice to have more hands around the house to entertain Kinley and they even did alot of babysitting so I could get a few things done without worrying about her. It was great! Thanks George and Jackie for an amazing week! Here is Kinley just spending so cuddle time with both of her Grandparents. It is crazy to spend time with Ryan's Dad because the more and more I am around him the more I know EXACTLY what Ryan will be like in 30 years!!! He is JUST like his Dad! I could make a long list of reasons why, but, not now :)

Also a new discovery is that Kinley LOVES raisins. She gets so excited because she thinks that they are candy and who am I to tell her any different! :)

We went to a Halloween Farm one day that they were here and we had a great time. We took Kinley last year and she loved it. So we thought we better do it again this year. Last year she loved the animals and she would let out this crazy scream everytime she saw one. Well, she didn't show as much emotion this year, but I still think she had a lot of fun!

This was one of her favorite animals. She really liked to watch the little bunnies hop around. She was even trying to climb in the cage with them she was so excited!

Kinley update

Well here it is the first official pony tail. Miss Kinley has not been able to grow much hair in her short lifetime and I was so excited that I could finally put her hair in a pony tail. I have felt like I was not being a very good Mom because I just let her hair go most of the time. It has not been long or thick enough to do anything with except brush. SO I was super excited about this. She however was not as you can see by my hand holding her from running away from me. This picture was taken a few weeks ago and now she has "found" her hair and plays with it all the time. She has developed a new habit and it makes the biggest knots in her hair that I have to cut out:( silly girl!

Is it me or does she look so grown up here? Were did my baby go?

She was trying to show off for her Dad one night when we went to hit a bucket of golf balls. Her Daddy was so proud she could actually hit the balls! Lets just hope she gets his skills and not mine !

She was focusing on how to work that huge club :)

Here are some things Kinley has been up to lately! I just wasn't to make sure I don't forget anything about our little girl. She is growing up so fast!
*She still runs with her arms up by her side and moves so fast I can't believe those little feet can keep up.
*She loves to been tickled! When we are watching T.V. she will climb on our lap and lay down so we can tickle her back.
*When we say "guess who is coming to see you" she still always says "Abbie!" even though it usually is someone else.
*She loves to play on the computer and sometimes we find her sitting on the computer chair just talking and typing away.
*She carries around and least 3 purses with her at all times when we are home.
*She loves her new Halloween costume! She picked it out and meows like a kitty every time she sees it.
*She loves to eat oreos. But only the cream center and then throws the cookie away.
*She loves to rock her babies. She will put them in the rocking chair and tell them "rocker rocker rocker" then pat their back. - so sweet!
*She makes us push her around the house in her car at least 10 times a day.
*She is obsessed with money. Every time she sees my purse I have to give her some change to play with! I know we are in trouble.
*She loves her new brown boots. She has to wear them even just to play in the house.
*She loves to make the monkey sound and tickle her armpits while she does it.
*She loves trucks, airplanes, trains, and flowers. She loves to smell flowers any chance she gets. Even the ones in the books:)
*She absolutely loves to take a bath or shower then run around naked making me chase her.
*Her favorite books are "Green Eggs and Ham" and "Thomas the Train"
*She knows the actions and words to the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" but only does it if Ryan and I both do it with her. She will stop in the middle and make us do it again if one person has stopped.
*She locks herself in our pantry on a daily basis. It has a glass door so she thinks she can get out. - side note- She was running in the kitchen the other day and the glass pantry door was closed. She ran right into the door head on thinking it was open. It was hilarious and she only cried for a second.
*Anytime she hits or hurts anyone she knows she is in trouble so she immediatley says "hug" and then pats your back until you say "it is ok". So sweet!
* The other day she was sick and not feeling well at all. I felt so bad for her! I was holding her and I sneezed. I was shocked when she lifted her head from laying on my chest and said "bless you mommy". I about cried!
*She loves to play in our real car. I have to watch her so close because she always locks the door as soon as she gets in and then she knows were to put the keys if she had them. I know totally scary. Don't worry she only plays in it if we are with her.
Those are just a few new things that our crazy girl is up to .
She is just such a fun little girl and we are having so much fun having her in our family. We love you Kinley!

Family Pics

It was so windy the night we took our picutes, so minus the flying hair I think they turned out really good.

Here Kinley is showing everyone where her teeth are. Everyone was trying to get her to smile and asking her to show her teeth. So she did. :) She was a trooper though and smiled for most of them.

Beach continued

Sorry to those of you who are offended, but this picture is a continuation from the previous post. I know it is not in order, but oh well. After she fell in with her regular diaper on we had no choice but to just take off her diaper, that was weighing her down, and let her have at it.

She loves to jump into the pool

and is so proud of herself when she does.

Now, I have no idea what to say except " Hilarious"! I don't know what she is doing, but I had to post this because I laugh every time I see this picture!!

More Beach pics

She finally got adventurous. She walked into the water. Notice the tongue hanging out. It was such hard work for her to stay up when to tide would go in and out. I couldn't believe how fragil she was.

Here she is trying to run away from Ryan because she thinks she can do it on her own. I wonder where she gets that? Duno? Notice her hands out and fingers spread due to the sand between them. She hates being dirty and this was no exception.

Oh man! She just wasn't stong enough to stay upright. I promise she isn't crying she was loving it.

However, she was not loving her wet clothers and heavy sand and water filled diaper!
