Kinley "cookin"

She is such a crack up! We just love her!

Valentine's Day 2010

I took Kinley to her class at daycare so she could hand out her Valentine's to her class mates. She was not sure at first whether or not she wanted to share her candy, but she gave in and was really cute about it.

Giving out more candy

Here she is hoping someone will give her some candy in return. :) The night before she helped me write out all the names of the kids and she signed them herself. It was so fun doing this with her. It makes her seem so big though :( I think all she ate that day was pure candy. We then went to my work and she was spoiled from all of my co workers who love her.

Just a cute picture of her "helping" me make cookies!

Getting home from P.A

This Kinley and her Uncle Chris. She absolutely loves him. She was his buddy the whole trip. He let her beat him up the whole time. It was really cute!

So the last few times we have been back East it was been a NIGHTMARE for us to get home and this year was not exception! We flew out of Avoka. It is a small airport out of Scranton. Well everything would have been okay, but our plane to pick us up was over and hour late. We only had a one hour layover in Detroit. So they told us to just get on the plane and hope for the best, so we did. When we landed we could not get off the plane for 30 min due to a crazy passenger who would not come out of the bathroom. It is a security breech apparentely. He finally did and then they let us off. When we got to the ticket counter we asked the lady at the counter about our connection and she laughed and said " oh mam that plane left 30 minutes ago". I thought to myself, just don't cry. So I asked her what we should do, since it was already 8:15 pm. She was actually really nice. Thank Heavens! She booked us on a flight in the AM and gave us a hotel and lots of food vouchers. I was so appreciative that I didn't have to sleep in the airport with my baby. So off to our hotel we went and we had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant. The miracle of it all was that our normally crazy 2 year old was a perfect angle for us. I was worried, but she was a champ. Her she is drinking my Pepsi. As most of you know our poor daughter LOVES soda. Normally we only give her a few sips but this night I just let her have at it. She was in heaven! We were so happy to get home the next day even if it was 24 hrs late and in one of the worst snow storms all year long! :)

See her almost smile. Like "I know I should not have all of this, but I think I am going to get away with it" !

This is just another random picture. This was the first time Kinley has really ever played in the snow. She did not really like it. She hates to be cold and touch new things. Like mother like daughter. We will work on it because I plan to go sledding at least once this year!

Christmas 2009

The morning that we left for P.A. we had our own small Christmas at our house with just the three of us. We woke Kinley up early and as you can see she is undecided whether or not she is excited. I don't think she really knew what was going on. It didn't take long though and she was right in the middle of the action. Christmas is so much more fun with a little one to spoil!

Here is Kinley playing with her Jaji. She absolutely loves him and I think he really loves her too! She got so excited sbout the stickers and Jaji just let her put them all over him. She thought it was great. One funny side note- Kinley went to bed one night and Ryan and I went to a movie. We left her with Ryan's parents. When we got home Ryan's Mom was laughing because I guess Kinley woke up and she went in to check on her and Kinley was crying for Jaji to come and hold her ! :) We are happy that Kinley loves her Jaji so much. Crazy girl!!!

Sorry I forgot to turn the picture so you can just turn your head :) This is our little Princess on Christmas Eve. She looks so cute in her clothes that Grandma Jackie and Jaji bought for her!

This talking Elmo was a hit! She was so excited when she opened it that she just started to hug it and roll on the ground with it! I was so happy that we were able to get her something that she loved! She was really spoiled this year by all our Family back in Pennsylvania. We are so greatful for all that they do for us! We had a wonderfull Christmas! We miss you guys!

Randoms

Back in December Kinley had to have a small procedure done at Primary Children's Medical Center. She is still not eating well, so her doctor decided she needed and EGD. It is a scope of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. She did really well. It was hard watching her come out of anesthesia but she did awesome. This picture was taken just before she went in and you can tell her Daddy was not so excited about it. I was pretty calm because I knew what to expect since I have worked in that department for years, but it is different when it is your little one. The doctor was great and let me watch the procedure. The only time it was scary was when they extubated her and there was blood all over the tube and they thought they might have punctured a lung. For a brief moment I lost it mentally, but they soon realized all was well. We did get some answers and thought things might get better with her eating, but she is still about the same. So for now we just accept that she is just not a good eater and move on.

This is Kinley's first encounter with Santa Claus. Her daycare had him come one day, and so I took Kinley to sit on his lap. She definitely was not having that though. She politely took her candy and held on tight to me :)

Once a week we go have lunch with Daddy and his work. His work is awesome and lets me come eat one day a week for free. We love that small break from being at home and Kinley loves to see her Daddy. She also loves his badge and so he makes sure to steal a kiss in exchange for the badge :)

More Christmas fun!

We decided to take Kinley to see the lights at temple square before we left to go to P.A. for Christmas. This was the first time that we went as a family and it was really special. We had some much traffic just getting there, but as soon as we walked in the gates it just felt peaceful. We didn't spend to much time there because it was FREEZING that night, but it was still so fun. Kinley loves to see the temples and she was loves to see lights. We had someone take a few pics for us and this is the best we got out of four, but oh well.

I love the "sour" face!! We also made a gingerbread house for the first time this year. Kinley loved eating that candy and Ryan very much enjoyed engineering this cute little house. We loved it and plan on doing it every year.

Kinley was so proud of the finished product. We kept seeing her climb onto the table for just one more candy all week :)

Kinley is now 2 !!!!

So I apologize for the pictures ahead of time. They are pretty bad. The lighting in our house is a little dim for our cheap sony cyber shot, so it is what it is. I can not believe that my little baby is growing up so fast. I know that is such a "mom" thing to say, but it is true. I just want to keep her my little one forever. I must admit though it is fun watching her grow and learn new things. Kinley just seems so old now. She is talking constantly and can say pretty much everything we say. Sometime with her own twist but still close. It is so fun watching her learn how to do puzzles, learn colors, sing primary songs ( her fav. is " I love to see the temple" ) , read books, and pretty much do everything we do. She is very opinionated and stubborn, which is trying at times, but I think will pay off later in life. I love that she wants to be just like me and help me with EVERYTHING! It makes me really try to be a better person. Oh how we love you kinley!

She gave it her best but she still wanted nothing to do with eating her cake. I even put a sock on her cast so she could dive in, but it was just wishfull thinking. :)

She was opening her presents one handed. Poor little girl! After a while she gave up and asked for help. :)

Thanks so much to all our fun family and friends who came to celebrate with us!

Decorating for Christmas 2009

As most of you know this is a rare picture of Kinley. She is eating! I was busy making cookies the Sunday night before Christmas and Ryan was putting up the tree. Kinley decided she wanted to help Mommy and help she did. She ate so many chocolate chips that night. I was happy for her trying something new. Notice her cute little cast was still on :( It has since healed up just fine and you would never know anything ever happened. Also I went to a fun enrichment activity and learned how to make these cute aprons for Kinley and me. I think they turned out well!

UMM chocolate chips!

I am sad that this is the only picture I got of us decorating the tree. Kinley got to put the first ornament on, with some help from her Daddy. Such a cute picture! She loved decorating the tree and she continued to redecorate it until we left for P.A. :)
