To be as a small child

I just wanted to post this because I have really appreciated all the things that other people have put in their blog that they have learned and I just thought that maybe it would be beneficial to someone else. Well as most of you can see I am not someone who writes a lot about personal things. But I just felt like this was something I wanted to tell other people. I don't know about any of you but being a mother has been by far the best and hardest thing that I have ever done in my life. I can't even put into words how much I love Kinley and being able to be her mother. She and my husband are my life and my all. I can't even imagine my life without them. I have to say though the last few months have been really trying. It is hard not knowing how to best take care of a little baby and always trying to be the best at everything you do. I also was starting to get really frustrated with not being able to know what Kinley wanted or needed at all times. She was not sleeping, eating, or playing well. I just felt like I must have to been doing something wrong because it seemed that all the other babies around us were just happy all the time. Well after feeling sorry for myself for a while I decided to go to the Lord in prayer. I knew He was trying to teach me something but I didn't know what. It has taken me a while to receive my answer and hear it is. When Heavenly Father told us to be like a small child he had great reason for using those exact words. When I look at Kinley she is everything that I wish I could be. She is so forgiving and loves me so unconditionally no matter how hard I struggle at times. She is so easily pleased. All she cares about is her basic needs. She just wants to be fed, changed, and loved. That is all any of us really need when we think about it. I know we also need to have the Lord number one in our lives as well, and I know even as little babies He is in their life more than we probably realize. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the day to day activities of life and the other wants in life that we see others have. But if we really think about it, we have all that we need just sitting around us in our home. I have also learned that I need to have more patience with others in my life. I don't think that you can have a better teacher than a child. I have realized that being a parent is a great way to learn to be a little less selfish. I know that it is such a honor to take care of Kinley and put her needs above mine. She is amazing and I know she would do the same for me. I know that there are many more things for me to learn and I can't wait for that.

Just cute pictures!

These are just some cute random pictures that I wanted to post. I just think that they captured her amazing personality. She sure has got one of her own that is for sure. As you can see she has been less than happy with us lately trying to feed her. She had a rough few days, but I think we are back on track. We tried to grab the camera sooner because the little heart shaped puff stuck to her chin was tucked between her lips and she looked like she had 2 buck teeth. It was so funny because she kept trying to talk and it just kept moving with her lips. Sometimes she just makes us giggle.

This is a usual day in the life of Kinley. We always get out all her toys and put them on the floor for her to play with. But what does she want to play with, the bin that holds all the toys. I think we are going to start saving money and just buy her boxes and random loud objects. She likes to play with anything other than the toys we buy for her to play with. I have to give her credit though, she is pretty smart to figure out that she can play peekaboo with her own toy bin. She is so smart and I love it when she realizes it as well.

Kinley is 8 months old!!!!

I can't even believe that my little baby is now 8 months old. Ok so she is really like 8 1/2 months old, but I am just a little slow at posting pictures. Time is just going by so fast. I felt like I was pregnant forever and now time is just flying by. I love watching her grow and learn new things every day. Kinley is so curious. She loves looking and watching new things and one her latest things that she does is she cocks her head to the side when she is trying to figure something out. The picture at the bottom is a perfect example. She was trying to figure out what was shining the bright light her face over and over again. I love it. Kinley has also become very vocal. She has been talking for a while, but now she has kicked it into high gear. Ryan and I have just come to terms with the fact that the days of sitting through church together are over, or least put on hold for awhile. She is so loud that we just have to take out in the hall and let her play and talk. But that is ok because we love to hear her cute little voice. I swear she was starting to say "mama" that other day, but Ryan said that is was just hopefull thinking. Oh well I am sure it will come soon. She has not figured out how to crawl yet, but she is getting closer everyday. To be honest I don't really think she will crawl alot. She loves to grab our hands and just walk all around the house, so I think she will only crawl for a short amount of time or go strait to walking.
She also loves to make clicking sounds with her mouth all the time. She is getting to be a much better sleeper and eater. Which is so great for all of our sanity. I have to say that my favorite thing that she has developed this month is her new ability to giving us hugs and kisses. She is all of the sudden so cuddly. She will put her arms around my neck and lay her head on my shoulders. I can't think of anything in this world that would melt my heart more. She is also great at giving the best slober kisses. I love it so much and I am so thankful that I have sweet Kinley in my life.

Family Time

The other night Ryan and I took Kinley on a walk around the condos, just to get out. The weather had been great for the past few days and we decided to take Kinley for her first ride on a swing. As you can tell she was a little scared at first, but soon she realized that she loved me holding her while swinging. It is her two favorite things. So when we put them both together we had a very happy baby.

Kinley loves her dad. As soon as she can hear him unlocking the door at night, when he comes home from work, she gets all excited and can't wait until he comes to pick her up. The other night he just layed down on the couch with her and I thought she would be protesting rather quickly and instead she just layed on him and cuddled right up. Kinley has never really been a cuddly baby until just recently and we are just loving every minute of cuddle time that she gives us.

Little Giggles

I just love Kinley's little giggles. I try all day to get her to laugh. Most of the time I am sure I am making a fool out of myself, but whatever it takes I will do. I have to try so hard and Ryan can pretty much get her to laugh at anything. Her new favorite thing to laugh at is when Ryan does this with the rings on her head. She absolutely loves it. I have not idea why, but she does. She also loves it when I sing to her. I have to admit it probably does sound pretty funny. :) I know that the picture quality stinks, but this is the best video we have of her laughing. I was trying to hurry and capture the moment, so I am moving a lot and I can't rotate video clips to make them upright. So I apologize for the poor quality of film.
