Sno cones and Kinley's 1st movie

This is one of mine and Kinley's favorite things to do this summer. We go get sno cones almost everyday I work. I feel some guilt with putting her in day care and this is just one way I get to make her feel special on those days. I didn't think she would like them at first, but she loves them. Her favorite flavor is Tigers Blood. This was the first time we went and she was in love. I am just glad I get to show her these fun new experieinces.

Just the 2 of us earing our sno cones. She was not sure of the first bite, but loved it after that!

We have a new theatre in our area, that shows new movies for only $3 dollars. On their opening night it was free so I thought it would be fun to take Kinley and see how she did. Well the first movie we went to was supposed to be a kids movie, but it was still to dark for a little girl. So we tried another movie and it was so LAME. There were only two movies playing and the other one was "A diary of a wimpy kid" Oh wow was it not worth our time. Kinley was not excited about the movie at all, but at least she was happy eating her skittles and drinking her pepsi. I was just excited to take her to the movies for the first time. I then took her again to " How to Train a Dragon" a few weeks later and it was once again to dark of a movie for her. I thought it would be more of a cartoon. Oh well we had fun anyways the 30 minutes we were there. We will try the movie things again in about six months.

This is Kinley and Kelsey. Kelsey's mom and dad have been good friends of our since college. We love them and we love her just as much! Kinley ecspecially loves Kelsey and it is so comforting to see how soft and gentle she is with Kelsey. She loves to play with her and loves to cater to her. As long as Kelsey doesn't touch her things that is :) They will be moving back East this fall and we will greatly miss them!

Spring time fun

We were going to a familly members baby blessing and Kinley was insisting she needed some lipstick. So I gave her some chapstick and forgot about it. Well after a 3 minute drive I turned around to sheck on her and this is what I saw :) Does she not look so beautiful! She had used almost an entire thing of lip gloss. She was also very proud of herself, just not sure why her lips kept sticking together :)

Aunti Jenn came to see us a few months ago and Kinley was very excited! She loves her Auntie Jenn and she was so excited when Jenn brought her some new clothes and some new sunglasses. She still wears them everytime we get in the car. Thanks Auntie Jenn!

Doesn't she look so serious. She loves to wear all her dress up clothes, but she is afraid to move alot when she was her earings in. Such a girly girl!

Kinley always has to be in on the action. She interrupted and game of catch that her Daddy and some of his friends were having. I love that she is outside in a dress and her high heels playing football!

Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival

We have never been to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving point, so we thought we would give it a try this year. It was so pretty! My Mom and her friend Ken came out to go with us. Also Barry, kellie, and Belle came. The girls loved every minute of it. I had to show Kinley how to smell the flowers at first, but she quickly caught on.

I just love this sweet little face. Can you tell she was serious about smelling all of them :)

The two trouble makers. I love their cute smiles. They had to take a rest for a minute after running around trying to see all the flowers.

They love each other most of the time! Belle was not so excited to hold hands, but kinley was insisting. So cute!

We have now hit the princess stage. Kinley's favorite movie is Cinderella and sometimes she even has to wear her princess clothes while she watches it. We are so glad she decided to like something other than dinosaur movies :) Notice her camera in her hand. She thinks she has to hold her camera while I take pictures of her.

We finally got her to try something other than vanilla. We went out for ice cream one night and she tried the strawberry kind and loved it. Of couse we let her have all she wanted even though it was $3.50 a scoop!!

Do you think she could get anymore spoiled??? I don't think so! She was watching Cinderella in her chair with apple juice, cereal, and her blanket. She looks cozy doesn't she :)

This picture makes me laugh. One day her Jaji and Grandma Jackie called to talk to her. I gave her the phone and she just started talking like she was such a big girl. I love how she has her legs crossed and she looks like she is on an important business call or something. :)

Kinley "cookin"

She is such a crack up! We just love her!

Valentine's Day 2010

I took Kinley to her class at daycare so she could hand out her Valentine's to her class mates. She was not sure at first whether or not she wanted to share her candy, but she gave in and was really cute about it.

Giving out more candy

Here she is hoping someone will give her some candy in return. :) The night before she helped me write out all the names of the kids and she signed them herself. It was so fun doing this with her. It makes her seem so big though :( I think all she ate that day was pure candy. We then went to my work and she was spoiled from all of my co workers who love her.

Just a cute picture of her "helping" me make cookies!

Getting home from P.A

This Kinley and her Uncle Chris. She absolutely loves him. She was his buddy the whole trip. He let her beat him up the whole time. It was really cute!

So the last few times we have been back East it was been a NIGHTMARE for us to get home and this year was not exception! We flew out of Avoka. It is a small airport out of Scranton. Well everything would have been okay, but our plane to pick us up was over and hour late. We only had a one hour layover in Detroit. So they told us to just get on the plane and hope for the best, so we did. When we landed we could not get off the plane for 30 min due to a crazy passenger who would not come out of the bathroom. It is a security breech apparentely. He finally did and then they let us off. When we got to the ticket counter we asked the lady at the counter about our connection and she laughed and said " oh mam that plane left 30 minutes ago". I thought to myself, just don't cry. So I asked her what we should do, since it was already 8:15 pm. She was actually really nice. Thank Heavens! She booked us on a flight in the AM and gave us a hotel and lots of food vouchers. I was so appreciative that I didn't have to sleep in the airport with my baby. So off to our hotel we went and we had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant. The miracle of it all was that our normally crazy 2 year old was a perfect angle for us. I was worried, but she was a champ. Her she is drinking my Pepsi. As most of you know our poor daughter LOVES soda. Normally we only give her a few sips but this night I just let her have at it. She was in heaven! We were so happy to get home the next day even if it was 24 hrs late and in one of the worst snow storms all year long! :)

See her almost smile. Like "I know I should not have all of this, but I think I am going to get away with it" !

This is just another random picture. This was the first time Kinley has really ever played in the snow. She did not really like it. She hates to be cold and touch new things. Like mother like daughter. We will work on it because I plan to go sledding at least once this year!

Christmas 2009

The morning that we left for P.A. we had our own small Christmas at our house with just the three of us. We woke Kinley up early and as you can see she is undecided whether or not she is excited. I don't think she really knew what was going on. It didn't take long though and she was right in the middle of the action. Christmas is so much more fun with a little one to spoil!

Here is Kinley playing with her Jaji. She absolutely loves him and I think he really loves her too! She got so excited sbout the stickers and Jaji just let her put them all over him. She thought it was great. One funny side note- Kinley went to bed one night and Ryan and I went to a movie. We left her with Ryan's parents. When we got home Ryan's Mom was laughing because I guess Kinley woke up and she went in to check on her and Kinley was crying for Jaji to come and hold her ! :) We are happy that Kinley loves her Jaji so much. Crazy girl!!!

Sorry I forgot to turn the picture so you can just turn your head :) This is our little Princess on Christmas Eve. She looks so cute in her clothes that Grandma Jackie and Jaji bought for her!

This talking Elmo was a hit! She was so excited when she opened it that she just started to hug it and roll on the ground with it! I was so happy that we were able to get her something that she loved! She was really spoiled this year by all our Family back in Pennsylvania. We are so greatful for all that they do for us! We had a wonderfull Christmas! We miss you guys!

Back in December Kinley had to have a small procedure done at Primary Children's Medical Center. She is still not eating well, so her doctor decided she needed and EGD. It is a scope of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. She did really well. It was hard watching her come out of anesthesia but she did awesome. This picture was taken just before she went in and you can tell her Daddy was not so excited about it. I was pretty calm because I knew what to expect since I have worked in that department for years, but it is different when it is your little one. The doctor was great and let me watch the procedure. The only time it was scary was when they extubated her and there was blood all over the tube and they thought they might have punctured a lung. For a brief moment I lost it mentally, but they soon realized all was well. We did get some answers and thought things might get better with her eating, but she is still about the same. So for now we just accept that she is just not a good eater and move on.

This is Kinley's first encounter with Santa Claus. Her daycare had him come one day, and so I took Kinley to sit on his lap. She definitely was not having that though. She politely took her candy and held on tight to me :)

Once a week we go have lunch with Daddy and his work. His work is awesome and lets me come eat one day a week for free. We love that small break from being at home and Kinley loves to see her Daddy. She also loves his badge and so he makes sure to steal a kiss in exchange for the badge :)

More Christmas fun!

We decided to take Kinley to see the lights at temple square before we left to go to P.A. for Christmas. This was the first time that we went as a family and it was really special. We had some much traffic just getting there, but as soon as we walked in the gates it just felt peaceful. We didn't spend to much time there because it was FREEZING that night, but it was still so fun. Kinley loves to see the temples and she was loves to see lights. We had someone take a few pics for us and this is the best we got out of four, but oh well.

I love the "sour" face!! We also made a gingerbread house for the first time this year. Kinley loved eating that candy and Ryan very much enjoyed engineering this cute little house. We loved it and plan on doing it every year.

Kinley was so proud of the finished product. We kept seeing her climb onto the table for just one more candy all week :)

Kinley is now 2 !!!!

So I apologize for the pictures ahead of time. They are pretty bad. The lighting in our house is a little dim for our cheap sony cyber shot, so it is what it is. I can not believe that my little baby is growing up so fast. I know that is such a "mom" thing to say, but it is true. I just want to keep her my little one forever. I must admit though it is fun watching her grow and learn new things. Kinley just seems so old now. She is talking constantly and can say pretty much everything we say. Sometime with her own twist but still close. It is so fun watching her learn how to do puzzles, learn colors, sing primary songs ( her fav. is " I love to see the temple" ) , read books, and pretty much do everything we do. She is very opinionated and stubborn, which is trying at times, but I think will pay off later in life. I love that she wants to be just like me and help me with EVERYTHING! It makes me really try to be a better person. Oh how we love you kinley!

She gave it her best but she still wanted nothing to do with eating her cake. I even put a sock on her cast so she could dive in, but it was just wishfull thinking. :)

She was opening her presents one handed. Poor little girl! After a while she gave up and asked for help. :)

Thanks so much to all our fun family and friends who came to celebrate with us!
