Family night at Hee Haw Farms

So we decided to take Kinley to a fun little farm by our house the other night. She had soooo much fun!! She loved the animals and would have just jumped right the coral with them if we would have let her. She was screaming and flapping her hands at the animals. I will post video of it later. :) Here we are on the fun little hay ride!! Kinley just stared at the tractor the whole time because it was so loud. She loved the mini horses and the little piggies the most. We think it was because they were making noises and because they were little just like her.

Kinley at 10 months

Kinley is getting bigger everyday! Well I don't know bigger is the right word, but she is growing up so fast. I say that because she is still so little, but steadily gaining weight and I guess that is all that matters. :) Kinley is learning to do new things every day. I decided that I would just make a list of all the fun things that she does, so here goes
1- She is starting to take little steps all on her own. She walks along the furniture by herself and walks only holding onto one hand of ours.
2-She loves makeing faces at everything. She make the "O" face when she sees something fascinating. She loves to give smiles and holds her mouth wide open when she is screaming for attention.
3-She started to wave "bye bye" the other day. She won't do it on demand, but every now and then it comes out.
4-She has started to say "mamamamama" which of course is my favorite and should be number one :)
5- She is starting to actually like food and will eat more table food.
6- She is sleeping until 6am, then is up to eat, then sleeps until 8 am. I am feeling so lucky and frankly much happier!
7- She has decided she is much to cool for naps and rarely takes a good nap and usually not without protesting for a long time before giving in to the tiredness.
8- She loves to sleep on her stomach and every now and then we find her sitting up with her head between her legs laying on the mattress. I felt so bad the first time I found her like this, but I think she might actually like sleeping like that.
9- She will usually "give me five" if I ask her to and hold my hand out.
10- She thinks that her nostril is the perfect place to rest her cute little pointer finger.
11- She loves to dance with me. I have started to just put music on during the day and then I hold her and dance around the house. I have done it since she was little and she loves it. She gets this huge smile and holds onto me so tight.
12- She has started to dance on her own while she is sitting on the floor. Our cute little neighbor boy has some good dance moves and has taught her everything he knows. Thanks Turin!!!
13- She absolutely loves animals and would play with them all day if we let her.
14- She loves to get dressed up in her Halloween Costume. We put it on her when we had family over and she was eating up the attention. She knew she looked adorable and wanted everyone to focus on her.
15-She loves door stoppers and will always find one wherever we are to play with.
16- She has started to distress her crib all on her own. I have caught her many times chewing on her crib with paint chips in her mouth. Hopefully it is lead free!!!
Kinley is an amazing baby and we are just so thankfull that we get to be her parents. I love helping her learn and see knew things. She is amazing!!!!!!

This is the camera case and the only thing that she wanted and the only thing that would keep her happy at the moment. She was so happy when I finally gave it to her.

9 Months Old

I am so slow at putting these pictures on the blog. This was taken when Kinley was 9 months old. She is getting to hard to keep still. I was trying forever to get to just sit and smile and not reach for the camera. You can see she was getting ready to though. Silly girl. Kinley did so much this month. On Sept. 12, she got her first tooth. It was the bottom left tooth. I was so excited when I saw it I text Ryan and told him "our baby has a tooth". He right away called me and want to here about it. I felt so bad though because by the time he got home that night the tooth had disappered again. It came up and went down a few times before it decided to stay up. He was really sad that he didn't see it first, but was really excited when he saw it the next day.

Kinley loves to talk and this is her showing off that beautiful voice of hers. She also started to crawl this month, but I already post that so I don't need to again.

I was really trying to get a good picture of those pearly whites, but she was just not having it. She got her first tooth on the bottom left and then got the other front tooth a few days after that.

Random pics

So I have decided that I need to be so much better at keeping my blog up to date for others and for myself. I want to print out our blog and keep it for our family journal, so I am going to just post random pics every now and then. I know that everyone has at least one or two bath time pics of themselves when they were little so my sister and I decided to keep the tradition going and do it to our own children. Here is Kinley and her cousin Kyler. They were having a great time. She loves it when she has friends to play with, but she was not wanting to share her precious bath toys with him. It was really cute. We will have to work on the whole sharing with others thing later. :)

Trying to get three busy babies to look at you for a picture is a joke. It is so fun to see how all three babies are so different and how there is already a chain of command. Poor little Kinley is always the caboose. She just can't quiet keep up the the other babies who weigh like 5 pounds more that her:)
It's a good thing Ryan loves Kinley so much. She picks on him all the time and he just takes it. What a sweet Daddy!

One big Kitty

We took Kinley to see the lions at MGM while we were in Vegas. She absolutley loved them!!! At first she didn't really see what we where looking at but then one of the lions roared and started to move and right then she got this huge smile and started to kick and scream. She loves kittys. She loves to chase our neighbors cats around their house every time we are visiting and so I knew she would like even bigger kittys.

She would have crawled right into the cage with them if we would have let her!

Kinley's First Trip to Vegas

This last weekend we decided to take a road trip to visit some friends who live in Las Vegas. We had so much fun!!! Kinley was a perfect angel the entire weekend. She did so well in the car and it was so fun to show her some new things. One of our favorite parts of the vacation was when we took her to the Belagio to see the water show. She doesn't look like it in this picture but she really liked watching the water. We thought she probably liked it so much because she thought it was just a really big bath tub. ( she loves water)

Ryan and our friend Adam went mountain biking on Saturday. Don't they look so tuff :). Anyways us girls just sat in the truck and drove them up the mountain time after time. We thought they could save their energy for the fun the part of the trail. I had a great time talking with one of my best friends that I have known my whole life. It is funny how even though we don't see each other all that often we can just pick up right were we left off. All in all it was a great weekend and it was really needed. Oh and Ryan only crashed once down the mountain. He has a nasty bruise and scrape on his shoulder to prove it, but I think deep down he enjoyed it. I think it was fun for him to feel like a kid again. :)

The more perfected crawl

So here is the "Kinley crawl" more updated. As you can see we call it the "Kinley Crawl" because she has her very own style. She doesn't do the normal 2 knees and 2 hands way that most kids do. She drags one leg and tries to use the other foot to move. It is really unique and rather entertaining to watch. She has had to learn to move faster in order to catch the neighbors cats. Thanks Justin and Lyndsey for letting Kinley pick on the kitties. She loves them so much!! Oh other funny things is that she loves to chew on the orange string. She takes it everywhere and she looks just like a little birdie holding a worm in her mouth.

Kinley is now mobile

I am so behind on my posts so this one is really outdated. Kinley decided that it was finally OK to start crawling on 9/20/08. So it has been a few weeks and she has since become much faster, but I wanted to post her first day anyway. I will post a more perfected crawl a little later. Ryan and I were in the kitchen making breakfast on that Saturday morning and we had Kinley playing on the floor next to us with her toys. I had suspected that she knew how to crawl for awhile, but every time I tried to catch her she just sat there. We thought she knew how because there were times when we would turn away from her playing on the floor and when we looked back she wouldn't be in the same place. Silly girl. Well apparently she decided that she would share her new skill with us by all of the sudden crawling across the kitchen floor to get a different toy. Ryan and I were so happy and proud. We started clapping and praising her. This continued all day, as you can see in the video we were still trying to get her to show off for friends who came over later that night. :) I know a total proud parent moment.

Kinley's New Toy!

So we realize this is not the most earth friendly activity, but we are willing to do whatever makes this little girl smile. We have ran out of ideas to keep her occupied while we are cleaning up after dinner and so we decided to let her help in her own way. She will turn the water on and off while we are doing the dishes and she is still amazed every time. I love watching her explore and learn new things!!!

A much needed night out!

I have been wanting to go on the Moonlight ride up at Sundance for so long and we finally did it. We had our great neighbors watch Kinley after we put her to bed and off we went on a romantic night just the two of us. We stopped and got some yummy candy and headed up the mountain. The drive was even nice just because it was past 8 o'clock and we were out doing something, which hasn't happened since we had Kinley. It felt like we were carefree for just a short amount of time. Then when we got to ski lift we just sat back and relaxed. The night was beautiful and it was so nice to just talk to each other and spend some time alone together. So for anyone who is looking for a fun night out with no kids I highly recommend doing the moonlight ride.

Misty's wedding!!!

A few weeks ago we went to my home town for a fun weekend with family and friends. We had a great time. One of my best friends for as long as I can remember was married this weekend. It was so fun to see everyone again. Here is Kinley practicing her walking skills with Grandma Becky. She loves to walk as long as you are helping her. This is her knew favorite thing to do. She makes me take several laps around the house everyday.

I just thought this picture was cute and had to share it. Kinley has not let us rock her to sleep for months now, but when we were out of town she finally gave in and decided to take a nice long nap with her Dad. I love those moments.

Here is my friend Misty, who got married, and Kinley. As you can see Kinley was not so happy to be around all those new people.
The day was beautiful and so was the wedding and we can't forget the bride. Congrats Misty and Mike.!

We now have got a picture of us three together at everyones weddings. The three of us have always been pretty close, along with some of our other girl friends, and it is just so crazy to see all of us married. Time goes by so fast. It feels like just yesterday we were in highschool in Celeste's car going to the next game to cheer. Some other big news was that Celeste told us at the wedding that she was expecting a baby and was 4 months along. Yeah!! We are so happy for you guys! Congrats Adam and Celeste.

Last swim day :(

Well we are really sad that we have had our last swim day of this summer. We really have enjoyed taking Kinley to the pool and watching her splash around in the water. We should have gone more and we don't know where the summer has gone, but it was definately to fast. Kinley loves water and as you can see she enjoyed the pool for a long time this Saturday. Her whole body was nice and wrinkly when we got out. She is such a little fishy.
